About Us
At Glorious Childcare Ltd, we are committed to providing high-quality childcare and early education, supporting children's development from infancy through to their early school years.
Our Founder
Our founder, Nana Yaa Achiaa Ohene, is an Ofsted-registered childminder on the Early Years Register and the Compulsory Part of the Childcare Register, ensuring we meet the highest standards for early years care in the UK.
Our services are designed to support both children and their families by fostering a nurturing, safe, and educational environment in which children can grow, learn, and thrive. We provide tailored care for each child, focusing on their individual needs, well-being, and development.
What we do
Our Childcare Services
At Glorious Childcare Ltd, we offer a range of services in line with the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the Childcare Register. These services include:
Early Years Education and Development (Ages 0-5)
We specialise in early years care for children aged 0 to 5 years, following the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Our approach encourages holistic development, covering:
● Communication and Language: Promoting speech, vocabulary, and communication skills through conversation, storytelling, and interactive play.
● Physical Development: Supporting physical growth and motor skills through activities such as outdoor play, exercise, and movement-based games.
● Personal, Social, and Emotional Development: Helping children build confidence, self-awareness, and social skills through group activities and emotional support.
● Literacy and Numeracy: Introducing early reading, writing, and mathematical concepts through engaging activities, books, and puzzles.
● Understanding the World: Encouraging children’s curiosity and knowledge of the world around them through nature exploration, cultural experiences, and educational outings.
● Creative Arts and Design: Fostering creativity through arts, crafts, music, and imaginative play, enabling children to express themselves freely.
Each child is unique, and we ensure that their learning journey is personalized to meet their individual needs and developmental milestones.
Nutritious Meals and Snacks
We provide healthy, balanced meals and snacks throughout the day, ensuring that all dietary needs are met. Meals are prepared in accordance with health and nutritional guidelines to support children’s physical and cognitive development. We work closely with parents to accommodate any specific dietary requirements, allergies, or preferences.
Safe and Secure Environment
Safety is our top priority. We ensure that our setting is child-friendly, secure, and regularly inspected. Risk assessments are conducted to maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment. We adhere to all safeguarding and health regulations, including fire safety, first aid, and emergency procedures, ensuring that children are protected at all times.
Individualized Learning and Development Plans
We believe that every child learns and develops at their own pace. Our personalized learning plans are based on regular assessments and observations of each child's progress, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). These plans are regularly updated and shared with parents to keep them informed of their child's achievements and areas for further development
Flexible Full-Time and Part-Time Childcare
At Glorious Childcare Ltd, we understand that every family’s schedule is different. We offer both full-time and part-time childcare to accommodate working parents or those with flexible schedules. Whether your child needs daily care or a few hours per week, we strive to provide consistent, high-quality care tailored to your needs.
School Readiness Program (Ages 4-5)
For children approaching school age, we offer a school readiness program to help them transition smoothly into formal education. This program focuses on developing essential skills such as early literacy, numeracy, independence, and social skills. We also encourage positive habits such as listening, following instructions, and working in groups, preparing them for the structure of a school environment.
After-School and Holiday Care (Ages 5-8)
In addition to our early years services, we provide after-school and holiday care for children aged 5 to 8 years. Our after-school program offers a safe, fun, and educational environment where children can relax, play, and engage in age-appropriate activities. During school holidays, we offer full-day care, ensuring children are entertained and continue their learning in a stimulating setting.
Parent Partnership and Communication
We believe that parents are our most valuable partners in a child’s development. At Glorious Childcare Ltd, we prioritize open communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child’s progress, development, and daily activities. We encourage parents to be actively involved and welcome feedback to ensure the best possible care for their child.
Parents will receive:
● Regular progress reports in line with EYFS milestones.
● Updates on their child’s day-to-day activities, including meals, naps, and learning
outcomes.
● Scheduled meetings to discuss any concerns or specific needs.
Our Commitment to Ofsted Compliance
As a registered provider under the Early Years Register and Childcare Register, Glorious Childcare Ltd complies with all regulations set out by Ofsted. This includes:
● Ensuring all staff are trained in first aid and safeguarding.
● Conducting regular inspections to maintain high standards.
● Ensuring all staff have passed background checks (DBS) to guarantee child safety.
● Adhering to health and safety standards, including cleanliness, emergency
procedures, and supervision.
● Providing parents with all necessary information about our services, policies, and
